Kings XI Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 97 runs in the sixth match of the IPL held in Dubai. Kings XI Punjab had set a target of 207 runs for the victory. But Royal Challengers Bangalore were bowled out for 109 in 17 overs.
Bangalore had a bad start. Dev Dutt was caught for a run in the first over. Soon after, Josh Philip was dismissed for not opening an account.
Captain Virat Kohli was out for the third wicket. He managed to score only one run in five balls. He was caught out by Sheldon Cottrell.
Bangalore was in crisis after losing three wickets in a row. Aaron Finch and Abby De Villiers were on the pitch. But Finch was out for 20 off 21 balls. Washington came to accompany AB de Villiers. But de Villiers did not last long. He scored 28 runs off 18 balls. Bangalore managed to score 60 runs for the loss of five wickets in nine overs.

Mayank Agrawal was dismissed as Punjab’s first wicket. He scored 26 runs off 20 balls. Punjab’s total score was 57 when the first wicket fell.
After Agarwal’s dismissal, Nicholas Puran came to accompany captain KL Rahul. They scored 100 runs in the 12th over. But in the first ball of the 14th over, Nicholas Puran fell victim to Shivam Dubey. Facing 18 balls, he contributed a total of 17 runs with the help of a four. Punjab were 114 for the second wicket.
